At least Rudd refused to meet the Bretheren, but he did in a webcast
pander to other religious groups for their support. He has not answered
requests for more information on his educational policy regarding the
teaching of science and evolution in schools.
Will Rudd be any better if he is elected? I am not so sure, so far he
has not replied to requests for more information on Labor's educational
policy regarding the educational curriculum.
Who is the Shadow education minster, it was not listed on the alp
website, but Kevin Rudd says that he is committed to education, but how
committed? The former Liberal education minister Brendan Nelson said
that he had no problem with the teaching of a religious view of creation
called "intelligent design" theory in Australian science classes. Given
that Christian and others are all fighting over fundamental beliefs,
Muslims are even killing themselves trying to hurt others in a belief
they will live in paradise with Allah.
Will Federal labor promote or even mandate the teaching of science and
evolution in Australian schools. It would be of some benefit towards
world peace? Will labor allow the teaching of the religious view of
creation in science classes? How will Labor ensure that Australian
children do not grow up in intellectual poverty knowing nothing about
science and Darwin's evolutionary explanation for human life? How will
they ensure that religious schools also teach real science to students?
The Green's educational policy would improve Australian education
standards without pandering to religious groups for support.
