God save your gracious Queen,
Long live your noble Queen,
God save your Queen:
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over you:
God save your Queen.

I think there are two more verses, but I suspect the Rev is confused,
it hasn't been the National Anthem for many years.. (Advance Australia
Fair is the National Anthem)
God Save the Queen is only played on Regal or Vice-Regal occasions - ie
for HM the Queen or another Royal, or the Governor-General or a State
Governor...

If you know so much about Australia, why did you post this to
soc.culture.australian ?
What's Australian culture supposed to be? Like British Justice and
Military Intelligence, a contradiction in terms.

Australia's weather for 2007 and beyond.
It has nothing to do with brain dead frogs.
Australias past and future weather is explained in these pages.
Try these for starters ....
www.predictweather.com
and
http://www.predictweather.com/articles.asp?ID=35
Main stream meteorologists are invariably very good at short term
prognosis - but for long range weather these people have an
excellent track record.
The recent band of rain and storms through eastern australia (including the
event coming up for this saturday and sunday) was
"predicted" back in august 2006 and has been 100% accurate.
And just look at the incredible useful rain that came from TC Isobel in the
recent week - with more to come for the south
east corner of Australia.
Facts - not meaningless rantings.
My money is on these New Zealand people.
sir.jpt is a cheap flamer. Do not be afraid of what this person says, he
can do nothing, he has no power over his own
circumstances, let alone anybody elses.
There are greater cosmic forces at work here that far out-weigh anything
else and anybody else.
There is no just cause for anyone to be afraid. He does not have control
over God and the Universe.
**Note for JPT**
Don't bother responding - your response will be treated with the contempt it
deserves. |

Good for you. It's spelt crizzzzzzzzzzz.
Now stop playing our national game, take up formation swimming or whatever
you call it, and dump our monarch.
Good Queen Brenda don't think much of you lot, apparently she believes
Church of England doctrine. You can't get much further from Australia, or
reality, than that.

# An appeal to the non-existent to safeguard the irrelevant.
And simultaneously a taunt of the colonies by Imperial Brits, that we
aren't a republic - as if that's of significance anyway.
When Australians can be complacent about intrusion of transnational
companies and predatory finance, it is no big deal to debate monarchism
versus republicanism.
Yet many republicans can be quite happy to pay allegiance to the Pope in
Rome - another foreign monarch, if you will.
But then there's the Cricket, a matter of utmost concern - or is it a case
of "bread and circuses" for the masses?
