The IP address of the message source is 86.73.93.234 which can be traced to
Paris France - so it is genuine.
What is needed is a team of individuals to constantly bombard this freak so
he goes away.

I tried to get a loan of the book through the Queensland Library system.
"No copies held"
I asked the chief librarian of the local library if they would consider
obtaining a copy.

Hell of a question to ask.
Funnily enough, there is a certain truth in the grievance of Sir Jean
Paul - he was ripped off by big business.
Problem is it has effected his life quite badly.
Nutjob is just a jerk, period.
So on a point for point scale - Kangerwankerstain would have to win
hands down.
Sir Jean Paul has a problem with big business, nutjob simply has a
problem.

Turdcoat wasn't ripped orf, he simply did not own the land he claimed to
have discovered. It would like opening every box of CHEERIOS to find the
magical prize and then taking it to the checkout. |

JP discovered the Telfer site in October 1970 - plain and true fact.
There was a book written on the subject (The Golden Rule, by Bob
Sheppard), which I read last time there was a lot of slagging going on
about Sir Jean Paul, whom I had never heard of before, but whose story
seemed worthy of follow up.
It was available from the SA Public Library.
You may find the truth, as seen by Bob Sheppard, President of the AMLA
(Aust Miners Leaseholders Assoc) and the author of the book, quite
interesting.
It is the result of 4 years research by him.
Even the WA Senator / Attorney-General Tom Evans saw irregularities
concerning the Telfer ownership, and I believe there was even a
request for a royal commission into the matter.
It would seem Sir Jean Paul was simply ripped off by those he trusted
to help him exploit the find.

I can believe that - the copy I read was still in its plastic cover
and covered in dust and cobwebs (so I presume I am the first and only
person ever to read it apart from the author - and I heard a rumor
even he didn't read it).
The copy was actually through the Adelaide University Book Shop, where
they get all sorts of strange and obscure books for students.
Sir JP called me a prick once for not knowing about his predicament -
and I promised him I would read his history before I next abused him
for posting on Usenet.
Seemed the least I could do, seeing the fun everyone was having at his
expense.
I would say 'The Golden Rule' has probably been on the publishers
least read list since it was released.
If you ever do read SJP's history - you have to feel a little sorry
for him. But then to carry a grudge for 35 years like he has is going
a bit too far.
Did you know that he says he discovered another deposit in the same
area which has yet to be re found - he says it had more minerals than
Telfer, and he will probably take its position to his grave out of
pure spite.
If I was him, I'd do it properly this time and go for the cash. There
is no better revenge than massive success.

Nice to come across someone with some compassion
He was paid between $35 and $60K - details are a bit sketchy, which he
then used to go to uni and get a degree.
A pitance really considering the vast wealth of the Telfer mine.
He definately deserved more.
