I'm thinking of doing an MBA in Australia next year and I have already
selected some universities based on what I read on their websites.
Can anyone advise me on which program is the best and what are the
oppotunities to find a job in Australia with an MBA in one of these
universities :

-QUT
-UTS
-Bond
-UNSW
-University of Melbhourne
-University of Queensland

Thank you

The two top MBAs in Australia are:

Australian Graduate School of Management [AGSM] ranked around 68th in the world
[joint program between USydney and UNSW]
Melbourne Business School ranked around 75

None of the other Australian MBAs have a world ranking.

The next rung down includes UQueensland, Monash and Macquarie.
Then the rest.

Even ten years ago, a good MBA could get you a job. Now they don't
even get you an interview. Yesterday's degree for yesterday's job market.

It is not possible for anyone to say without fear of contradiction which
is the bext MBA program as Universities or their programs are not officially
rated in Australia. I am currently dojung an MBA at a University which you
have not mentioned above and we have during the course had some of
Australia's well known CEO's etc as visiting lecturers, many of whom rate
the program I am doing very highly but the reality is rating is a personal
opinion really.

Where did you find this ranking ?

On the FT site there is a ranking for top MBAs in 2004 and AGSM is
53rd, Melbourne Business School is 72nd and QUT (Queensland university
of technology) is 82nd :

As I said initially there are NO official rankings of Universities or
their programs in Australia.
Be wary of a polled ranking system that takes into account nebulous items
that cannot be compared Internationally.

(I was indulging in a little sarcasm)

Probably they were self-appointed, most likely US-based with opaque
criteria. Education is business. Should we allow the competition to rank
us? Instead of accepting 58th, or whatever, we should be marketing AGSM,
Melbourne, etc as #1.

Personally, I find it hard to believe that there are 57 'better' schools
- but then there's REALLY no way of knowing is there?

Having said that, if we start believing propaganda, then perhaps we
deserve LOWER rankings.
