With a full page ad. in yesterday's "Age", the DOGS (Council for Defence of
Government Schools) headlined thus - "Bracks Government has no mandate to
pass the education and training reform Bill".
Various aspects of the Bill come under fire from DOGS. For further
information see -
http://www.adogs.info - or -
http://www.fightingforpubliceducation.info
or write to - D.O.G.S. - at:
P.O. Box 4869, Melbourne, Vic. 3001.
DOGS (since 1960s) exists to ensure the 134-year-old free, secular, and
universal public education system remains so, and is not undermined by
either frontal assault, or stealth.
So, if the Vic. Govt wants changes, it should seek a mandate at next
November's state elections.

DOGS are barking up the wrong tree AGAIN. They lost a squillion when they
challenged the Federal Government over state aid to private schools claiming
it breached s117 of the Consitution.

For your information, the word "mandate" does not appear in the Consitution
in Victoria, nor does it appear in the Commonwealth Consitution.

Impossible for the reason already given.
