Hello all,

My name is Mike and I'm a 7th grade social studies teacher in
Orlando Florida. Last year, in a attempt to give my students a broader
view of 5the world I began a project I called Candy Pals. It was a
resonding success. The project follows the same pattern as most Pen-Pal
excahnge programs, but the letters that are sent by students are
acommpanied by Candy from their respective countries. The addition of
sweets makes the writing process very appealing to Middle School
students. The 5 schools we partnered with last year in Sweden, Germany,
Poland, Germany and France as well as our school Meadow Woods Middle
had a great time exchanging postwers, letters and of course the candy.
We are looking to do this project again this year. If you are outside
the United States and would like to work with our school this year
please email me at Patzer18@aol.com or respond to this posting. I am
especially looking for schools that may be able to exchange letters via
email after the original package of sweets and letters is sent. I have
aproximatley 120 students and can easily split the students up for
